Cybernerves is committed to making high-quality research accessible and promoting equitable publishing opportunities for researchers across the globe. As a Open Access journal, Cybernerves charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $50 per accepted article to cover the costs of peer review, editorial processing, and online hosting. However, we recognize that some authors may face financial challenges. To support such researchers, Cybernerves offers waivers or discounts on publication fees under specific conditions.

1. Eligibility for Waivers and Discounts

Waivers and discounts on APCs are available to authors who meet any of the following criteria:

Independent or Early-Career Researchers: Researchers without institutional funding support or early-career authors with limited financial access.
Exceptional Cases of Financial Hardship: Authors experiencing financial hardship. Each case will be individually reviewed for consideration.

2. How to Apply for a Waiver or Discount

To apply for an APC waiver or discount, authors must follow the process outlined below:

Prepare a Waiver Request Letter: Provide a short explanation of your financial situation, include your institutional affiliation (if any), and for authors from eligible countries, mention your country of residence.
Submit the Waiver Request with Your Manuscript: Attach the waiver request letter when submitting your manuscript or email it to the editorial team at editor.gjcia@cybernerves.com with the subject line “APC Waiver Request – [Your Manuscript ID]”.
Await Notification: The editorial team will review your request and respond within two weeks. Waiver decisions are made independently of the peer review process.

3. Important Notes

Transparency: All waiver applications are treated confidentially and do not influence editorial decisions or peer review outcomes.
Partial Waivers: In cases where a full waiver cannot be granted, a partial reduction of the APC may be offered.
Frequency of Waivers: Priority may be given to authors who have not previously received an APC waiver or discount from GJCIA.
